In the recent years, the Arab Gulf States are running towards armaments. The UAE has been the second biggest importer of weapons since 2005. The Obama administration offered advanced aircraft to Saudi Arabia worth up to $60 billion; the largest U.S. arm deal ever, and is in talks with the kingdom about potential naval and missile-defense upgrades that could be worth tens of billions of dollars more.
Are the UAE and Saudi Arabia in a great danger so that they require all those weaponry?
Probably yes!
The great danger being advertised by media from Iran towards the gulf countries facilitated the flow of arms towards the region and refreshed the arms industry in the US and some other exporters.
Same scenario happened in the previous gulf war when Iraq was arming preparing for a war with the enemy…Iran!
The American-Iranian conflict,
As it is obvious, Iran now is a threat to the US national security by trying to develop nuclear technology, and – as the last report of the IAEA states- developing nuclear heads used for missiles.
But who else is under the Iranian threat?
According to the western media, it is the Gulf States and Israel. The Gulf States because of oil and Israel because of religious matters. Therefore, a military attack on Iran in inevitable and will be considered a weakness for the US and a step back from the world leadership.
Let us bear in mind that the USA will not enter another unknown war after the failure of the Iraqi one and quit with huge human and financial losses. For that, another smart scenario has to played, even though it is not a very new one but it will still work since Arabs do not learn from history.
The Arabic Role,
As it was for Iraq in 1979, it will be for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar mainly to do the job this time. Those countries will have to fight Iran in the near future for two reasons, spending money and protecting Israel.
Those countries have been convinced that Iran is going to invade them and overthrow their regimes and therefore armaments started.
So, the result is all the money from oil in those Arabic states will go to the Weapon factories and help in maintaining the Western US and Euro economy after this big crisis.
If Iran is trying to overthrow regimes in the Gulf region, so does the USA but guess who is smarter.
Now Iran is playing the evil and threatening to dissolve the “Zionist State” but it never actually dropped any single rocket on Israel. Same for the USA, they never did any actions that can hurt Iran, despite the ineffective economic sanctions that they always threaten to increase it and they fail as usual.
This whole media games is to out the Gulf States in a position to buy more and more. Those states will reach the time that they get convinced that they will be attacked by Iran and fall into Saddam Hussein’s fault and launch a war on Iran and request and enormous amount of weapons which will come with a smile from the west.
This way, the USA will be the saint who did nothing bad, they just aided countries being attacked by this Islamic evil from Persia. Moreover, no matter how this war will end, if it ended, changes will fill the whole area. The great leaders who fought the war against Iran will be the evil guys who have weapons of mass destruction and therefore they will be considered the threat to Israel. In addition, where is democracy in those countries? Therefore, goodbye our great leaders……
You job is done, THANK YOU!
Let the Americans go back to their ordinary job as “FREEDOM FIGHTERS” and call for human rights in the Gulf States and the Arab spring will go on and continue its way towards the Arab Peninsula. You are no better than Saddam Husain and you will have his destiny as Gaddafi mentioned in the Arab League meeting in Damascus.
Finally, the scenario will not be a lot different from the one in the previous gulf wars, but the question is: Will the Gulf countries fall into the same mistake as Iraq did?
Either ways, they will be losers by falling into the whole game.
An Arab-Persian understanding as Amro Moussa- The ex-secretary general of the Arab League- suggested, we have to negotiate with Iran for our own strategic benefits otherwise the whole area will collapse for the sake of “Israel’s security”.
